Vintage Y2K Wild Red Liquid Snakeskin Fabric Lace-up Boots

These knock-out boots were a Christmas gift in 2000, all because I wanted the electric blue snake-skin boots at Nordstrom that were $375.

So the boyfriend traveled, brought back these beauties for me (or him?) ...in red. The color I look horrible in and never wear. So they have sat in a box for over 20 years, never worn. Out of the house, that is.

They are what I call "liquid" because I swear they look like real snakeskin. They have gold slashes throughout and a shiny gleam to them. They are fancy! And comfortable, made of a fabric unknown.

They say handmade on the soles but they also say "Mode in Italy" ? And "Valintyno" ? Marked a size 35, I wear a 7.5 and they fit me perfect. Whether they are from Italy or not, the quality seems good.

My thick-calf gal pals and I always debate what's worse, a skinny calf and a baggy boot or a thick calf with a problem finding a boot leg big enough. Skinny calfers, this boot's for you!

They'll fit a 13" calf and lower, the boot is 18" tall, heel is 4" high, 3" lace-up cuffs and a 15" zipper.
